The Bliss Group has an immediate opening for a Senior Account Executive to join our Professional Services team. The candidate will have the opportunity to join a team responsible for the B2B integrated marketing activities and PR for our largest client, supporting multiple business lines and industries within. They will participate in strategic planning and content creation initiatives across the entire account and assist in executing several large-scale marketing campaigns. They will also delve deep into several complex issues, including tax policy, regulatory compliance, and digital transformation. This role will include a dispersion of responsibilities ranging across media relations, writing, and research, planning & strategy. The ideal candidate will provide day-to-day support for select clients, managing both strategy and execution, and leverage stellar writing/editing skills to develop and edit content (surveys/studies and other long-form thought leadership collateral, email marketing copy, digital ad copy, video scripts, etc.), develop media relations strategies, goals, media targets and pitch angles, and pitch the media. The ideal candidate will also serve as an information leader on client teams, demonstrate industry or media-driven knowledge that directly and indirectly affects the client, route articles of interest to account teams and clients, assist in the development of long-term client plans and program recommendations, developing budgets, manage reporting mechanisms for client and account team, participate with senior team leaders in client presentations, coach/mentor junior staff and review their work for accuracy, and support organic new business development initiatives. It is required that candidates possess a bachelor's degree, 3+ years of public relations and/or integrated marketing experience, and exceptional long-form writing skills. B2B communications experience, agency experience, ability to grasp complex content strong interest in professional services, proficiency in digital and social content marketing, and experience managing accounts and strong client interactions are strongly preferred. An understanding of the traditional news media landscape, pitching experience, understanding of integrated PESO marketing strategies, team skills, coordination skills, communication and problem-solving skills, organizational and planning skills, efficiency skills, prioritization skills, and flexibility while changing client and team needs & priorities are also preferred. This position is office-based in NYC, Holmdel, NJ, or Austin, TX working on a hybrid schedule. Our ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years public relations/marketing experience in an agency or on an in-house communications team in B2B healthcare and will be energized by finding and telling business-to-business health stories. This hire will possess relevant experience working with one or more of the following: the business of health, hospitals & health systems, life sciences, medical devices, health tech, clinical research, pharmaceutical companies, strong media relations skills/experience, exceptional writing skills, experience supporting accounts and client relationships, and an understanding of digital media role in integrated communication strategies. Our new teammate will drive media relations outreach and support owned content and social media for disruptors in healthcare delivery with opportunities to rise to lead accounts including digital health, life sciences and biotech. This is truly an integrated role: your work will span traditional media relations, strategic planning, content creation, website copy, email marketing, paid social, and display advertising. This team is at the forefront of content innovation, working on everything from traditional articles and whitepapers to videos and podcasts to online calculators and assessments to interactive content experiences. Responsibilities include but are not limited to working with an equivalent dispersion of media relations, writing, and planning & strategy.
