RH Strategic is seeking a public affairs senior strategist to join its team in Washington, D.C. The expectations of a public affairs senior strategist at RH Strategic are: Lead creation and execution of communications strategies and campaigns to influence public policy through media relations, social media strategy, content development, planning and coordinating events, and managing engagement with coalitions, trade associations, and think tanks. Monitor legislation and policy developments, and strategically counsel clients on real-time policy updates, their impacts, and methods to influence outcomes. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders/decision-makers, deliver top notch work, and manage project expectations. Coordinate internal teams and available resources to ensure the delivery of products, services, and/or solutions that meet the client’s needs and expectations. Represent the firm and clients among industry influencers and organizations. Contribute to building on RH Strategic’s exciting portfolio of policy and public affairs clients. Provide feedback to team members, help build skillsets and careers of others. Requirements: 7-10 years of policy, public affairs and/or policy communications experience, preferably some of which is in technology policy, with experience working for a trade association, D.C. based public affairs agency, federal agency and/or Capitol Hill. Ability to devise and execute public affairs communications strategies and campaigns to support client objectives. Exceptional writing skills and experience developing content including social media, pitches, media statements, blogs and bylines, policy messaging and briefings, and congressional testimony. Confident subject matter expertise and client/external presentation skills. Strong ability to effectively communicate with and for leaders, executives, and clients. Ability to navigate policy, public affairs, and related entities and organizations. Ability to work in our Washington, D.C. office on a hybrid basis. Preferred: Capitol Hill staff and/or federal agency experience. Experience working with either a D.C. lobbying firm and/or law office. An appreciation for innovators shaping the future technology and exposure to issues driving innovation in the space. Experience formally managing direct reports and serving as a mentor. Experience in digital, paid, content, social and analytics. RH Strategic is seeking a public relations account supervisor with healthcare industry experience to join its team in Seattle. The account supervisor will have an interest in the healthcare sphere, an ability to understand its complexities and a desire to help work towards solutions to some of healthcare’s biggest challenges. Account supervisors will have experience setting program strategies and media storylines, helping teams prioritize and building lasting relationships with clients. Expectations of an Account Supervisor at RH Strategic are: Maintain client relationships, deliver top notch work and manage project expectations. Provide confident, strategic counsel to clients. Develop proficiency in the client’s market, understand the client’s business objectives, key audiences, story, market trends, influencers, competitors, and key stakeholders. Build and maintain solid relationships with healthcare business, trade, and consumer media, communicate on behalf of clients and experts. Create and lead media strategies that advance client business objectives. Monitor media and healthcare trends, lead and coach teams in the ongoing creative creation of strategies and pitch angles, and report updates on the changing landscape to clients. Create and oversee the quality of all content, including editing and finalizing all account written material. Apply a thorough understanding of social media and digital media tactics, apply knowledge of trends, functionality, tools, and measurement. Represent the firm and clients among healthcare industry influencers and organizations. Understand, analyze, and report out on campaign results to clients. Provide feedback to team members, help build PR skillsets and careers of others. Requirements: 8-12 years of PR or communications experience; including 4 years working in a PR agency and time in the role of account manager. Meaningful understanding of healthcare industry growth, challenges and clear knowledge of who and what drives the organizations leading in the space. Ability to devise public relations strategy to support program objectives, confidently present to clients, and convert into campaign-level action. Strong writing and campaign management skills and ability to hit the ground running in a team management and client-facing role. Ability to work in our Seattle office on a hybrid basis (minimum of three days per week). Preferred: Experience formally managing direct reports and serving as a mentor. Established relationships with healthcare reporters. Successful track record of building creative and differentiated executive thought leadership platforms. Interest in helping to grow agency business. Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. The Company may, in its discretion, also offer an annual bonus in an amount, if any, to be determined by the Company. Bonuses are not guaranteed.
