McDougall to Speak at PRSA’s national ICON conference

Worldcom PR Group Partner, Mike McDougall APR, Fellow PRSA, is going to be speaking next week at PRSA’s national ICON conference. As a 25-time Anvil award winner and President of McDougall Communications, Mike will be providing tips for creating standout award entries alongside co-presenters Mike Gross, APR, Fellow PRSA and Ann Andrews Morris.

He will be participating in a session called: Unmasking the Anvils: Insider Tips for Earning Recognition and Reward on October 29, 2025 from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.

The sessions will focus on the value of earning accolades for agency work. The sessions will cover several benefits of Anvil Awards including:

  • Enhancing client relationships
  • Building team morale
  • Elevating an organization’s reputation
  • Refining professional skills
  • Validating achievements

McDougall and the panelists will be translating a complex strategic campaign or brilliant tactic into a strong award entry can be daunting, and countless award-worthy programs every year get overlooked. As the chair and past chair of PRSA’s Honors and Awards Committee, McDougall will share proven techniques to identify and develop entries that stand out in a sea of competition.
