Worldcom partner, DEVENEY, has worked closely with Louisiana Office of Tourism to mount unified strategies resulting in a higher quality of life for everyone in Louisiana. DEVENEY and the Office of Tourism’s partnership to increase visitation in the state of Louisiana spans many years.
The State of Louisiana endured multiple crises over time. The wake of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita left the state in the greatest economic downturn since the Great Depression. The state was also hit hard with the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion, recognized as one of the worst environmental disasters in U.S. history. DEVENEY was charged with rebuilding the state as a top tourist destination.

To reach that goal, DEVENEY fused multiple strategies and tactics, creating a strong positive image for Louisiana. The ongoing campaign included correcting false perceptions about the state and creating public relations opportunities to build Louisiana as a brand. They showcased the state as a premier destination for culture, cuisine, history, entertainment and adventure.
DEVENEY helped Louisiana expand opportunity to showcase the state’s authentic culture and also positioned Louisiana a top culinary, cultural and festival destination. Read more to see the full results.
