4 Tips for Reaching the Hispanic Market

As Hispanic Heritage Month comes to a close, Senior Vice President Michael Queroz from PCI shares best practices for reaching Hispanic audiences.  He gives insights on creating culturally competent, integrated communication strategies. The tips include information about developing authentic storytelling and inclusive messaging strengthen audience connection and impact.

  1. Get the terminology right:  Hispanic refers to people with a Spanish-speaking background while Latino/Latina refers to a geographic designation and Latinx/Latine are the gender inclusive versions.
  2. Content creation: Not only should it be clear and culturally relevant, but make sure to skip jargon and idioms
  3. Earned media: Partner with Spanish-language outlets and have a bilingual spokesperson ready to go
  4. Digital Marketing: Share content on preferred platforms with Spanish-first or bilingual content
