Worldcom Youth Meeting Works on Amigos support campaign in Budapest

Published on 23rd June 2026

Worldcom Public Relations Group held its annual Worldcom PR Youth Meeting in Budapest on June 4–5, bringing together young communications professionals from nine countries for two days of workshops, case studies, and hands-on strategic work. The event, now in its 15th year, was hosted by Worldcom PR Group’s Hungarian partner PRBK Kommunikáció at the Corvinus University of Budapest.

Participants travelled from Worldcom agencies in Austria, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, the Netherlands, Poland, Germany, Italy, and Spain. The diverse attendance is a reflection of the increasingly global reach of a format that has now engaged more than 300 young PR professionals since its launch in 2011.

“Part of the Worldom PR Group’s operations is that we, agency managers, meet in person at least twice a year at a global and a regional meeting. We tried to tailor this format to the needs of our young colleagues: networking opportunities, learning, and of course, a little fun,” said Andras R Nagy, managing director of PRBK Communications.

The 2026 meeting centered on the theme of storytelling, with presentations covering brand communication and AI, alongside participant-led case studies showcasing successful campaigns from their home agencies. The practical centerpiece of the program was a live client brief from the Amigos for Children Foundation — a Hungarian nonprofit active in 24 hospital wards across six cities, whose volunteer community supports children recovering in hospital through language learning, creative activities, and personal connection. In 2025, the foundation reached more than 20,000 children through personal presence, project-based programs, and development tools.

Mixed international teams had one day to develop a full communications strategy designed to help Amigos reach corporate supporters and diversify its funding base. The winning concept positioned corporate support as a dual social investment — one that simultaneously benefits children in hospital and supports the personal development of the young volunteers who serve them.

The jury, made up of PRBK representatives and the Amigos Happiness Project Manager, evaluated submissions on feasibility, innovation, and effectiveness in growing and diversifying the foundation’s supporter base.
