As the importance of employee engagement and employee retention continues to grow, seniors leaders in the workplace are looking for ways to ensure new employees can integrate with existing team members. In an interview with Silicon Republic magazine, Ciara Flaherty, Associate Director at Springboard Communications, gave insights on way to bridge the generational divide at work, looking at Gen Zs in particular.
There are a number of barriers preventing Gen Z employees from fully integrating into the workplace. Flaherty talks about how it would be folly to disregard the lasting effect the pandemic has had on working adults, particularly Gen Zs who experienced mass disruption in their formal education and when entering the workforce.
“Each generation tends to generalise about the next and fret over what this means for modern working,” said Flaherty.
