How to Humanize Your Corporate Video Content

By now, most organizations have caught on to the popularity of video across all channels. But that insight leaves out one important detail: What does effective corporate video content look like?

While corporate videos – from live streaming on social media to training videos on your website’s content hub – are popular, not all earn the same traction with audiences.

Corporate videos can help highlight a company’s history, credibility in the industry and talent of employees. But if corporate videos are not created with their target audience in mind, they may not reach their full potential.

CASACOM offers some tips for providing quality corporate video content that will resonate with audiences:

Show Rather than Say

Audiences are more likely to retain messages when it is presented in a visual rather than textural format. That being said, the B-roll used in your corporate video is equally important as the remarks made during interviews.

Additionally, complex technical information can be lost on audiences if not presented properly. If sharing statistical information, make sure that these numbers are presented in an easy-to-understand manner and that they are complemented with relevant visuals.

Include Employees

Who better to feature in a company video that the very people who work within the organization and help shape its values?

Employees offer authenticity and spontaneity that helps to humanize your brand and highlight the accessibility of the organization to the general public.

Choose an employee ambassador who is comfortable in front of a camera and can communicate messages clearly. A helpful way to assess this is to have a pre-phone interview. Hearing the speakers talk helps to determine how the employee speaks and delivers.
