While companies are working on strategic planning, many of them set forth metric and goals to help meet business or marketing metric benchmarks. While all of those are necessary to create a successful strategic approach, many companies don’t integrate planning on how to execute storytelling.

As Bruce Springsteen says at the outset of his new documentary called Road Diary, “the setlist is going to communicate the story you are trying to tell your audience this time around.”

This powerful insight from Springsteen underscores the importance of storytelling: Shaping a narrative that effectively communicates your message and connects with your audience, whether you are a band, corporation, government agency or non-profit.
