International networking, new insights and a stage for young talent: the annual Worldcom Youth Meeting in Budapest combines all of this – and HBI Communication was right in the thick of it again this year!

From April 23 to 25, 2025, three of our young colleagues had the chance to participate in this special event, sharing ideas with creative people from around the globe, talking about future-oriented subjects, and earning invaluable experience.

But how did this come about and what exactly is behind our partnership with the Worldcom Public Relations Group?

The Worldcom PR Group

As an independent PR agency, HBI has been a proud member of the Worldcom PR Group since 1996, working closely with numerous international clients and their global partners. The Worldcom Public Relations Group is the world’s largest network of owner-managed PR agencies.

The concept of this network is to bring together local knowledge, global experience, and individual collaboration on an equal basis. For us, this entails working with partner agencies internationally, whether for market research, foreign campaigns, or strategic communications knowledge, in addition to having access to global resources and best practices.

In a nutshell: Worldcom embodies the principle of ‘thinking globally and acting locally’.

Gain experience – The Worldcom Youth Meeting

The annual Youth Meeting is a true highlight of our calendar as active members of the Worldcom PR Group. It brings together young PR talent from all across the network to collaborate, learn from one another, and find new inspiration. This year’s gathering, which took place in Budapest once more, was a huge success for everyone who attended!

HBI was represented by our three colleagues, Julia, Yannick and Virginia, who participated in group assignments and conversations on a hands-on case study and up-to-date communication trends.

“Sharing ideas with like-minded people from so many different countries was incredibly inspiring. You realise how much you can learn from each other when you look beyond your own horizons,” says Julia enthusiastically.

Why this initiative is important to us

Our young talent is actively influencing our agency’s future in addition to being its future. This is the reason it is so crucial that we raise this next generation. In addition to providing our staff with fresh motivation, initiatives like the Youth Meeting provide them a taste of life abroad and the chance to share their own thoughts on a worldwide platform. In addition, occasions such as these deepen the network’s ties, which is what makes our collaboration with Worldcom so unique!

Conclusion – Global perspectives for a connected PR world

The Worldcom Youth Meeting is an excellent illustration of the kind of dynamic, forward-thinking, and pragmatic international cooperation in PR that is possible today. Our three outstanding employees’ participation was beneficial to our agency’s positioning as a globally connected agency, their personal growth, and intercultural exchange. And let’s be honest – who wouldn’t want to spend a few days in Budapest? 😉
