Worldcom Partner Sachs Media has been named the top winner of the national PRNEWS Impact Communications Award in the Social Justice Campaign category.  The partner was recognized for its work with renowned civil rights attorney Ben Crump and the family of Tyre Nichols.

The campaign, Justice for Tyre Nichols: Laying the Groundwork for Improved Policing in America, played a central role in amplifying calls for accountability and systemic police reform.  The campaign was initiated after Tyre Nichols’ tragic death in 2023.

“This campaign reflects the real power of communications to not just inform, but to fuel action and change,” said Sachs Media’s Director of Media Relations Kelly Corder, APR, CPRC. “We’re tremendously honored to stand with Ben Crump and the Nichols family in their continued pursuit of justice and reform, and deeply proud of our team’s work on this important and ongoing effort.”

The PRNEWS Impact Communications Awards recognize leading corporate social responsibility, diversity, equity, inclusion, and social impact campaigns nationwide. Sachs Media’s efforts generated more than 212,000 total media placements, over 6.8 million media engagements, and 22 million social media views, mobilizing thousands of supporters through digital outreach and petition drives.
