Worldcom Partner Sachs Media has been recognized for producing the nation’s Top Campaign for Legislative and Regulatory Affairs at the 2024 PRNEWS Platinum Awards in New York City.
The high-stakes campaign for the Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA), “Protecting the First Amendment in the Digital Era,” played a critical role in defending free speech and online safety, culminating in a U.S. Supreme Court decision to block controversial content moderation laws in Florida and Texas.
In addition to the campaign win, Sachs Media Partner and Managing Director Drew Piers was honored among PRNEWS‘ People of the Year in the Crisis Managers category, recognized for his leadership during some of the nation’s most challenging crises.
Drew has guided clients through disasters such as a bridge collapse that claimed six lives, high-profile corruption allegations, and significant funding crises for nonprofits. His strategic acumen and leadership have earned him a reputation as one of the country’s top crisis communications professionals.
