Pollack Talks PR Challenges with O’Dwyers

Published on 14th January 2026

Worldcom PR Group Partner Stefan Pollack recently provided his insights on The Biggest Challenges for PR in 2026. The first topic on the list was the impact of AI on the public relations industry.

He outlines 2026 as the year the PR industry moves from storytelling to story stewardship. The job of Public Relations will be to manage truth, technology and trust all at once.  However, PR will need to apply the same creativity that once defined advertising and the same integrity that once defined journalism.

“The biggest challenge for public relations in 2026 will be managing truth at machine speed,” Pollack Said. “Artificial intelligence will flood the ecosystem with faster, cheaper and often more persuasive forms of misinformation.”

His article covered a multitude of topics including:

  • How AI will Support and Transform PR
  • Video and Audio Content Changes
  • Combatting Misinformation and Disinformation
  • Thought Leadership in a Fragmented Media Landscape
  • Leveraging In-person Events

Throughout the article, there is a theme that =in a world where almost anything can be simulated, developing a real connection is now more valuable and strategic.

PR will no longer sit at the end of the communications chain; it will become the connective tissue between data, emotion and action. And that’s not just a prediction. That’s where we’re already heading.
