McDougall Honored with Top PRSA and AMA Honors

Published on 23rd June 2025

Worldcom Partner McDougall Communications was honored with PRSA and AMA awards for work they developed.

For the second straight year, the agency won both the Corporate and Non-Profit Best of Show Awards in the Rochester Public Relations Society of America PRism competition. In addition, it was the eighth consecutive year McDougall earned the Best of Show in at least one of those categories.

The recognition was for work with CooperVision to bring attention to digital eye strain across the United States and a global educational campaign surrounding myopia with the World Council of Optometry.

“At a time when people are bombarded by information streams and don’t know who or what to trust, we keep creating new ways to calm the chaos and grow our clients’ reputations. It’s always rewarding to see this creativity recognized, but even more important to remember the people behind the work—incredible agency-client teams who love what they do,” said Mike McDougall, FAAO, APR, Fellow PRSA, president, McDougall Communications.

The team was also honored a few days later by the American Marketing Association (Rochester) Pinnacle Awards. It had named another CooperVision effort to elevate its children’s eye health leadership as the year’s top public relations initiative.
