LF Channel Partners Leads SUSE Digital Communications in Spain

Published on 8th July 2026

LF Channel, a Worldcom Public Relations Group partner based in Spain, has been appointed by SUSE — Europe’s leading open source enterprise technology company — to manage its communications in Spain. The engagement will focus on positioning SUSE as the definitive authority on digital sovereignty and enterprise open source.

The mandate comes at a pivotal moment for the technology sector. While 98% of organisations now regard digital sovereignty as a key strategic objective, only half have taken concrete steps to achieve it, according to research by SUSE. Closing that gap between intention and action is central to the communications challenge LF Channel has taken on.

“Spain is at a turning point. Digital sovereignty has moved beyond being a theoretical debate to become a genuine strategic priority, both for businesses and institutions,” explains Diego Ríos, SUSE’s Managing Director for Southern EMEA. “Having LF Channel as a partner enables us to convey that message accurately and credibly to decision-makers.”

Spain, in particular, is at an inflection point. Governments and organisations across southern Europe are actively working to reduce dependence on external technology suppliers and regain control over their digital infrastructure. This shift that has elevated open source from a technical preference to a strategic imperative.

For LF Channel, the appointment builds on more than three decades of experience working with technology companies — a track record that shapes how the agency approaches complex mandates.

“There are clients who come to us with a brief and clients who come to us with a mission. SUSE clearly belongs to the second group, and that changes the way we work with them,” says Imma Folch, CEO and founder of LF Channel. “But to understand their world, you need to have experienced it first-hand, and LF Channel has been supporting innovative technology companies for over 30 years. That experience is what enables us not only to manage their visibility, but also to help them build a narrative that really resonates in Spain.”

The collaboration reinforces LF Channel’s broader commitment to supporting technology companies that advance open innovation and strengthen digital sovereignty across Europe.
