Hearts Were Beating at the Physicians’ Gala

Share this insight:

Our partners at Ward in Bellaire, Texas were tasked with planning a gala to celebrate the merger of two hospitals to create one, large regional healthcare network. Planning a party of this size means every detail must be covered from reaching the right people to finding the right place that works for all invitees. It’s a task that requires incredible coordination to make a big impression.

The goal of the event was two-fold: celebrate the new entity and bolster physician retention and recruitment. The success of the event was critical to making this merger kick off in the right direction. Event planning took place months in advance to get on the attention of busy doctors and onto their calendars. Save the date cards were mailed to invitees three months in advance to help build buzz and ensure a spectacular turnout.

Careful coordination to avoid conflict with two other big events in the Houston area ultimately helped define the theme. The result was a Valentine’s Day spectacular that attracted hundreds of guests and provided a night for networking and celebrating the new partnership. The elegant venue was the perfect setting for live entertainment in a theater environment, dinner, dancing and more.
