Founded in January l992 and based in Seattle, Richmond Public Relations (RPR) is a family-owned and operated business that specializes in travel, tourism, lifestyle, business, healthcare, and real estate public relations as well as market introductions and launches for food and consumer products. RPR represents local, regional, national, and international clients throughout the United States and Canada. A large network of national and international media contacts enables RPR to attract clients that are established as well as new and entrepreneurial.
Many of RPR’s new clients are referred by local, regional and national travel, food and business media or current and previous clients. Proof of the agency’s credibility in the market is reflected in the fact that we still have our first client.

Screenlife, LLC, maker of the DVD movie game SceneIt?™, came to Richmond Public Relations just prior to their initial holiday retail season in 2002. SceneIt? combines DVD technology, Hollywood movie trivia and a board game all in one. Our challenge was to create awareness and demand for this unknown brand, which in turn could create leverage with potential investors.

By partnering with clients in their strategic thought process, RPR has been a leader in helping clients tell their story to targeted markets. What differentiate us from our competition are the people that work at the agency. Richmond Public Relations currently has a staff of 15 highly motivated and creative individuals. The collective skill sets, media contacts and motivation to do great work are what retains clients and helps to generate new clients. We are a boutique agency with big agency capabilities.
The foundation of our PR methodology is in listening to our clients’ needs. It is important to evaluate the historical basis of the public relations strategy to date and determine the effects of that communication. Once this “media audit” is complete, we are able to better determine a direction based on our knowledge and expertise and further expand the public relations goals and strategy.
1. Develop a concise understanding of the client and project
2. Set objectives and goals that are mutually agreed upon between the client and RPR
3. Create a media strategy and develop tactics
4. Build a comprehensive media list
5. Execute the plan
This basic strategy allows us to be better prepared and capable of achieving great results.
