Michael A. Burns & Associates was founded in 1989 with several guiding principles:
Clients would get more than their money’s worth in great work. Credit and compensation would go to the associates who did the work, not just to the name on the door. And maybe everyone could have a little fun.

Today we are a full-service public relations agency with core skills in planning and implementing communications programs that can be local, national or international in scope, but that have an aggressive media relations effort at their core.
We offer a broad range of creative services — from Web site development, to print and video production, to multi-media presentations and more. We also specialize in helping non-U.S. companies market their products and services in the United States. We now number more than 20 professionals. MB&A Creates The Mother of All Product Placements
When we learned that another American icon “brand” – Niagara Falls – had a series of wooden viewing decks that were subject to continual water spray, we instantly knew there could be mutually beneficial opportunities for Niagara Falls and Thompson’s Water Seal. We also learned that the Niagara Falls State Park was spending several thousand dollars a year to purchase deck stain for the wood. Budgets at the Park are fairly tight, so a product donation sealed the deal.
The Newark Star Ledger business section ran our announcement story with their own comment, “Enter the mother of all product placements." Five of the six key coatings trade magazines also covered the story. We're now exploring a new VIP program -- for "Very Important Places" -- based on this model.
